Karstein Djupdal is a composer and pianist from Northern Norway. He studied piano and composition in Kristiansand (1997-1998), Maastricht (1998-2000), and composition at The Norwegian Academy of Music in Oslo (2009-2013). He has composed for solo instruments, choir, and various ensembles. His music focuses on harmony, sound colours, and rhythm, and sometimes draws inspiration from nature. He has released one CD with piano music.
